Did you know that there is a town ordinance in Sunapee that requires your house number to be clearly visible from the road?  

#9 of the Sunapee "Street Naming and Numbering Ordinance" states that "...owners of all buildings that are numbered will cause these numbers to be affixed in a place that is readily visible from the numbered way with the unaided eye in natural daylight.  These numbers will be at least four inches high and in a contrasting color to the background."

Having your house number clearly visible from the road helps us to be able to respond quickly to the correct house in an emergency!

The Sunapee Fire Department Association is running a new fundraiser that will allow you to purchase a hi-vis reflective house number that conforms to the Sunapee Town Ordinance and will greatly aide in our response to help in our town.

Please view and print the attached photos, or visit the SFDA website at  www.sunapeefireassoc.org/Fundraisers/ to download the PDF, fill it out and mail it with payment to the Sunapee Fire Department Association address listed.  Please make checks payable to "Sunapee Fire Department Association".

You can order single or double sided numbers and you can order as many as you need.  

Please think about ordering one or two to place on your BOAT DOCK if you have a property on the water!  We respond to many emergencies on the water, and having a house number that is visible from the water could help save a life!

We will have a display set up at the town deliberative session on February 2, 2021 for you to view a physical example and we will have forms available. Be sure to check it out!

Mail in the form with payment enclosed, or drop off the form at the Safety Services Building.
